Krugman is a born-again Keynesian who thinks every problem can be solved by throwing money at it. Never mind the U.S. debt, currently in excess of $13 trillion. Krugman also is a classic American imperialist, an avid supporter of obedience at home and oppression abroad. The (politically incorrect) answer: We need to terminate the omnicidal industrial economy before it causes our extinction.

Hi Guy, Sure Krugman is a keynesian. And yes America is an Imperialist Empire. That being said. Niether one of those realities makes him incorrect in his asessment of our situation and where we are headed.
Six months or a year from today. this will still be an imperialist empire. And His prediction of the greater pain meted out to the general population can still be correct, even if he is a keynesian.
Hence, until the omnicidal economy isn't, his thoughts still have merit.
